If you suffer from some other desease or take some other medicine except prescribed Zovirax, consult your doctor what is the best dose for you in your specific conditions. Zovirax ointment may be used without any horror – it acts locally and is not capable to do any harm to you even in case of overdose. Zovirax is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will harm an unborn baby. But there is no evidence of the harm it did, so herpes may do bigger harm. Do not use Zovirax without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. It is also not known whether Zovirax passes into breast milk. Do not use Zovirax without first talking to your doctor if you are breast feeding a baby.
